Biblical Tours
Many
of the New Testament settlements are within the borders of Turkey.
Antioch, where the followers of Christ named themselves as Christians
after
the crucifixion
of Christ, hometown of St.Paul, Tarsus, and all the Seven Cities of Revelations
are located on the peninsula of Biblical Asia Minor, which is today’s
Turkey! During the early days of Christianity, Roman Province of Asia Minor
had largely
populated cities like Ephesus, where St.Paul spent two years preaching the
word of God.
In fact, majority of the Roman cities visited by St.Paul during
his apostolic
journeys are in Turkey. In the early Christian period the region of Cappadocia
has become an important monastic center for the instruction of Christian
theology.
As a reference to the Old Testament, Mount Ararat, Euphrates and Tigris,
and the settlement of Harran are in today’s Turkey as well.
VTS has expertise of many years in organizing and operating Biblical
itineraries throughout Turkey for church parishes. Steps of St.Paul, Seven
Cities of
the Book of Revelations, and Steps of Adam, Noah and Abraham are the
itineraries that are run by VTS. Please ask for further information on
Biblical Tours.
